Game Animation 1707

Here are some of the animations that i did this month (July 2017)
My animation here is strongly focused on the basics of a (FPS) First Person Shooter.
Here you'll see the following animations. Taking reference from Destiny 2, and the latest Doom game.
Ready
Standard Idle
Fire three times
Reload
Breakout Idle
Melee
Put Away

This animation is my final boss fight. I took reference from Bioshock's Big Daddy for the boss and I used my own knowledge from First Person Shooter games that i played for the player. These are the requirements that I had to meet for this animation.

  1. Start with Hero in cover
  2. Hero comes up to shoot Boss
  3. Boss reacts and becomes alert to your presence
  4. Boss shoots back and destroys cover
  5. Hero shoots again killing Boss
  6. Boss dies
These are some of the animations that i did this month. To see more things that I've done, please go to https://www.artstation.com/artist/ltweed

Nature & Playing Card Studies 1705

Lawrence Tweed "Home"

This is a project I did last month for class. I did everything from scratch in Adobe Photoshop. This project is based on nature, a place that makes you relive a pass memory, a place that reminds you the viewer and me of home. I got the inspiration from a beach back home in Bermuda, during the Summer, I use to come to this beach a lot with my family and to me this painting I've done is the perfect example of "Home".

Lawrence Tweed "Back Cover"
Lawrence Tweed "Front Cover 7"
Lawrence Tweed "Front Cover Queen"

Another Project, done in Adobe Photoshop are these playing cards. These cards are my own design that I came up with in class. I chose to stick to a pirate theme and was inspirited by the new Pirates Of The Caribbean movie. Each design connects to each other and tells a story. The short version of this story is that the notorious Queen Of The Pirates Blood Lust Tasha is cursed but to her in a good way. To remain young and beauty, she must kill the innocent who wonder the seas and wash her hair in their blood to keep it red. If she doesn't, all of her youth will be gone, revealing her true identity no man, woman or child should see. This and the adventure of being a pirate, seeking treasure and adventure, oh its pirates life indeed.

Texture Painting (Sci Fi Crates with texture maps)

Below are three crates I did for class. Each crate has its own story and purpose. I also had to stick to a certain colors for each crate, as well as materials.

Platinum Crate with Red,White, and Green
Crate 1: This crate is slightly worn but is still in good condition, this crate contains weapons for robots. I decided to name this crate Arsenal Robotics and got permission to add my friend Sarasation name on it.

Iron Crate with Black and Red
Crate 2: This crate is old, covered in rust and dust. This crate contains items for a blacksmith.

Gold Crate with Gold and Purple
Crate 3: This crate is high quality, flawless with the most expensive trinkets in the world. The condition of making this crate was to give it one flaw, can you guess what it is?

Character Animation Projects

Here are some of the animations that I've done during the month of April.
This is a basic cake walk that I did at the beginning of the month.

Here is a basic egg walk with a turnaround added and a attempted jump.

This is a short but more lively animation of Antsy grabbing a cup of coffee.

This is my animation final for the month. It went pretty well and I'm proud of the end result. I decided to try something new by having the character sit then stand up and walk in the beginning of the scene. Overall, this is probably my favorite out of the four because the character to me feels more lively with added facial features and blinking mechanics.

My 3D Animation

Here are some of the animations that I've worked on this month. (The order of the videos are in order from the first animation to the last)
'
The video above is my bouncing ball animation. This is a very basic bounce that i did early this month.
The video above is me experiencing with Time and Space. Each car, I gave its own speed, pace, and time. Some cars i gave a little more.....just for fun.
The video above is my game level smash ball. This is perhaps my favorite animation that i did this month. Basically Ive created a story with a bouncing ball and a star. This ball is cool, has attitude and wants that star to become invincible. He sadly doesn't catch the star and dies in the process....or does he?? Does he get the star? or does the star truly get away? Enough reading, go check out the video and see for your.
The video above is my basic walk that Ive recent finished not to long ago. In this animation, I animated Antsy the bug (who's not an alien ;) ) to walk up to this machine and do an interaction with it. Please go watch it, enjoy and have a nice day.
